Boston Uncommon
Published Dec 16, 2005 Concord Monitor ...I feel sorry for the people we saw sitting in tour buses or the "Duck Boats," taking essentially sedentary, voyeuristic peeks of the city. I can't believe they had nearly as much fun as we did. They might as well have been watching TV.
We took a historical tour of Boston, too, but we did it on foot at our own pace, with the help of a The Boston Audissey, an audio tour (with a handy walking map) available either on CD or as an MP3 download.
The neat thing about a guided tour is that you should discover things you'd never find on your own. The Boston Audissey was a fun eye-opener. The history of Boston took on a new life as we walked and looked... Great way to spend an afternoon in the city.
