The Miami Beach Audissey offers an audio walking tour that allows visitors and residents to walk in the footsteps of a city insider. Claudia Verela, a bikini model by day and a bartender by night, narrates the tour -- which includes the Scarface Scene (the filming location of one of the most grizzly murder scenes in Hollywood history). Ironically, it's now a modeling agency.
The tour also includes:
-
Casa Casuarina: the mansion once owned by Gianni Versace
-
The Carlyle: the former hotel where the world met Detective Sonny Crockett (Don Johnson) in the first episode of Miami Vice
-
The World Erotic Art Museum
-
The Clay Hotel: where Desi Arnaz launched the rumba craze that shook America by the hips
Start the tour by visiting www.AudisseyGuides.com and downloading the tour onto your iPod or any MP3 player, plus a printable map. You can do the tour at your own pace -- and best of all, you don't even look like a tourist!
